US Body Calls for Sanctions on RSS Ahead of Mohan Bhagwat's New York Visit

The US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) has publicly called for sanctions against the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as the organization’s chief, Mohan Bhagwat, prepares to travel to New York. USCIRF Commissioner Gene Mills warned that even RSS leaders who are linked to the Indian government should not receive high‑level diplomatic courtesies. The call comes ahead of Bhagwat’s scheduled visit, during which he is expected to meet with U.S. officials and community leaders.
