Uppal police thwart murder conspiracy, arrest five and seize two country-made pistols

Uppal police in Hyderabad announced that they have foiled a murder plot after intercepting a group of suspects planning a killing. The operation resulted in the arrest of five individuals suspected of being involved in the conspiracy. During the raid, officers recovered two country‑made pistols, which are often unregistered and illegal under Indian law.

According to the police statement, the suspects were apprehended at a residence in the Uppal area after intelligence inputs indicated a forthcoming violent act. The firearms seized are believed to have been manufactured locally and are not licensed for civilian use.

Investigators are now probing the motive behind the planned murder and have opened a case under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. The police have urged the public to report any suspicious activity and assured that further actions will be taken against those found guilty.

The incident underscores ongoing concerns about the circulation of illegal firearms in urban pockets of Telangana and highlights the proactive role of local law enforcement in preventing violent crimes.
