Schools in Uttar Pradesh will remain closed for two days, on October 19 and 20, to observe the festivals of Maha Navami and Dussehra.
Uttar Pradesh schools are set to remain shut for two consecutive days as the state observes the major Hindu festivals of Maha Navami and Dussehra. The closure is scheduled for October 19 and 20, allowing students and staff to participate in religious ceremonies and cultural celebrations.
The decision aligns with the traditional calendar for these significant days in the Hindu month of Ashwin. Students across the state will have a break from their academic routines during this period.
Parents and educators are advised to check specific school calendars for any additional local variations, though the two-day closure is the primary announcement for the state. This holiday period marks the culmination of the Navratri festival season.
