UP RERA mandates digital architect, engineer and CA certificates for realtors

The Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has issued a new regulation that obliges real estate developers and agents to provide digitally signed certificates from qualified architects, engineers and chartered accountants before marketing or selling projects. The rule aims to enhance transparency and curb fraudulent practices in the state's booming property market. Under the directive, each certificate must be generated on a secure digital platform and linked to the project's registration details on the RERA portal.
