Anupama Saroj Singh, a senior officer in Uttar Pradesh’s PCS, has opted for voluntary retirement after nearly ten years of deliberation, hinting at a potential shift into politics.
Anupama Saroj Singh, a 12‑year veteran of the Uttar Pradesh Civil Services, announced her voluntary retirement today after a decade of careful consideration.
Her decision follows the earlier resignation of IAS officer Divya Mittal, sparking speculation that senior officials are re‑evaluating their career paths.
In a brief statement, Singh hinted at a possible entry into politics, though she has not yet disclosed any party affiliation.
The government will soon appoint a replacement to fill the vacancy created by her departure from the PCS cadre.
