On October 17, Ujjain will witness a coordinated worship of 35,000 girls at 151 venues, organized by the Lokmanya Tilak Mahayojana Committee to honor women’s power.
Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, is set to become the stage for an unprecedented cultural gathering on October 17, when 35,000 girls will be worshipped simultaneously at 151 locations across the city. The event is being coordinated by the Lokmanya Tilak Mahayojana Committee, which has been preparing for the ceremony for the past six months.
The organizers describe the initiative as a tribute to "Nari Shakti" – the strength and vitality of women – and aim to link the younger generation with the values of Sanatan culture. By concentrating the puja at so many sites at once, the committee hopes to create a new record in collective worship.
Logistical arrangements include synchronized rituals, coordinated volunteers, and a central monitoring hub to ensure the timing aligns across all venues. Local authorities have been briefed on crowd management and safety protocols.
The event is expected to draw participants from across the state, reinforcing regional pride while highlighting the cultural emphasis on reverence for women. No official record‑keeping body has yet confirmed the attempt, but organizers remain confident of its success.
