Retail milk sellers in Ujjain have raised the price of open milk from ₹62 to ₹66 per litre, effective Saturday, citing rising feed, transport and production costs.
The retail milk sellers’ association in Ujjain announced a price hike for open milk on Saturday, increasing the cost from ₹62 to ₹66 per litre.
The decision comes as the association cites a sharp rise in feed prices, transportation charges and overall production costs during the festive season.
Milk vendors say the hike will help them cope with the higher expenses and maintain supply to local consumers.
The move is expected to affect households across the city, especially those who rely on open milk for daily consumption.
