The world-famous Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain witnessed a unique Bhasma Aarti on Friday morning during Jyeshtha Shukla Panchami. Lord Mahakal was adorned with cannabis and then offered Bhasma (ashes).
Devotees gathered in large numbers at the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain on Friday morning for the special Bhasma Aarti on the occasion of Jyeshtha Shukla Panchami. The revered deity, Baba Mahakal, was elaborately decorated as part of the rituals.
The morning's 'Bhasma Aarti' saw a unique blend of devotion as Lord Mahakal was first adorned with cannabis ('bhang') and other traditional elements like 'Tripund', 'Trishul', and the moon. Following this special adornment, the sacred 'Bhasma' (ashes) was offered to the deity.
