Ujjain Deploys 5 ASPs, 21 DSPs, 2,500 Troops and High-Tech Surveillance Around Shahi Masjid

Authorities in Ujjain have set up a massive security cordon around the historic Shahi Masjid, deploying senior police officers, thousands of troops and extensive camera coverage.
Ujjain police have placed a tight security perimeter around the Shahi Masjid, a landmark mosque in the city. The deployment includes five Additional Superintendents of Police, twenty‑one Deputy Superintendents of Police and roughly 2,500 uniformed personnel to monitor the area.
Surveillance is being carried out through a network of more than one hundred CCTV cameras and eight drone‑mounted cameras covering a radius of about 500 metres from the mosque. The system is intended to capture any movement in real time and relay it to command centres.
In addition to the physical presence, over a hundred social‑media accounts that were reportedly spreading inflammatory content about the mosque have been blocked by authorities. The combined measures aim to prevent any untoward incident and maintain public order around the religious site.
Officials said the heightened security will remain in place until the situation stabilises, and they are coordinating with local administration to ensure smooth functioning of daily activities around the mosque.
