Ujjain Cremation Ground: Transgender Aghori Detained After Video Shows Alleged Corpse Consumption

A video from Chakratirth cremation ground in Ujjain showing a transgender Aghori allegedly eating parts of a partially burnt body went viral, prompting Jivajiganj police to file an FIR under BNS section 301 and take the individual into custody.
A video that surfaced from the Chakratirth cremation ground in Ujjain depicts a transgender Aghori, identified as Kali, allegedly consuming fragments of a partially burnt corpse. The clip quickly spread across social media, raising public alarm and prompting several complaints.
Following the complaints, officers of the Jivajiganj police station registered a First Information Report under the BNS Act, section 301. The FIR cites the alleged act of desecration and consumption of human remains as a criminal offense.
The police subsequently placed the Aghori in custody for further interrogation. Investigators have said that the case is being examined in detail, and no additional statements or charges have been disclosed at this stage.
