A joint team of Udaipur district police and the Crime Investigation Department raided Hotel City Pride in the Govardhan Vilas area, detaining three Thai nationals, one of whom had previously been deported from India.
Udaipur district police, together with the Crime Investigation Department (CID), conducted a coordinated raid on Hotel City Pride located in the Govardhan Vilas police jurisdiction on Thursday. The operation was carried out after intelligence inputs indicated the presence of foreign nationals involved in activities under investigation.
During the raid, officers detained three women who are citizens of Thailand. All three were taken into custody and their identification documents were seized for verification. One of the detainees has a prior record of being deported from India, according to police sources.
The police spokesperson said the raid was part of an ongoing probe into illegal immigration and related offenses. Further questioning of the detainees is underway, and the authorities have not disclosed any additional arrests or charges at this stage.
Investigators will continue to examine the circumstances that led to the presence of the Thai nationals in Udaipur and will coordinate with the Ministry of Home Affairs and foreign diplomatic channels as required.
