Two Teenagers Drown While Bathing Near Bhudkurwa Bridge, Muzaffarpur

Two teenagers, aged 14 and 15, drowned while bathing in the Gandak River near Bhudkurwa bridge in Anjanakot village, Motipur police station area, Muzaffarpur. Rescue operations are underway.
Five teenagers were bathing in the Gandak River near Bhudkurwa bridge in Anjanakot village, part of the Motipur police station area in Muzaffarpur. Two of them, 14‑year‑old Ujjwal Kumar and 15‑year‑old Annu Kumar, also known as Kallu, fell into the deep water and drowned.
Local residents and nearby villagers immediately alerted authorities. Rescue teams from the police and the district’s water rescue unit are currently working to locate and recover the bodies.
The incident has drawn attention to the safety conditions of the riverbanks in the region, where sudden changes in water depth can pose a danger to swimmers and bathers.
