Police of Jamuai Cyber Police Station arrested two individuals linked to the Shubh CSC Center in Saroun village for issuing around 100 SIM cards that were later used in cyber fraud, prompting 125 complaints, including 80 numbers flagged by the NCRP.
The Jamuai Cyber Police unit in Bihar announced the detention of two suspects connected to the Shubh CSC Center located in Saroun village of Chakai block. The arrests were made after investigators traced a pattern of SIM card issuance that facilitated online fraud.
According to police, the point‑of‑sale (POS) identification linked to the CSC center was used to issue roughly one hundred SIM cards over a four‑month period. These SIMs were subsequently employed in a series of cyber‑theft operations targeting individuals across the state.
The National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (NCRP) logged complaints against eighty of the issued numbers, culminating in a total of 125 criminal cases. Authorities have seized the devices used for the fraud and are continuing a broader investigation into the network.
