A late‑night head‑on crash between two motorcycles on the Sidhuwan‑Bet‑Bhoondri road near Jagroan claimed the lives of both riders, who were returning from work.
Jagroan, Punjab – In the early hours of the night, two motorcycles travelling in opposite directions collided head‑on on the Sidhuwan‑Bet‑Bhoondri road, a rural stretch outside the town. Police reports indicate that the impact was severe enough to cause immediate fatalities.
Both riders, identified as local residents returning from their workplaces, were pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved and there were no reported injuries beyond the two motorcyclists.
Emergency services arrived promptly, but the extent of the injuries left no chance of survival. The police have sealed the accident site and are conducting a preliminary investigation to determine whether speed, visibility or road conditions contributed to the crash.
Authorities have urged commuters to exercise caution on rural roads after dark, especially on narrow stretches lacking proper lighting.
