Two Kuki‑Zo MLAs ended a three‑year absence by taking their seats in the Manipur Legislative Assembly during the session convened in Imphal.

Two legislators belonging to the Kuki‑Zo community broke a three‑year hiatus by appearing in the Manipur Legislative Assembly on Tuesday.

The session, held in the capital Imphal, marked the first time since 2021 that the two MLAs took part in floor proceedings.

Their attendance was noted by the assembly secretary, who recorded their presence in the official roll and said the members were free to participate in debates and votes.

Political analysts said the move could restore representation for the Kuki‑Zo constituency in state decision‑making.
