Two Killed in Separate Ganesh Visarjan Accidents in Balaghat, Bodies Retrieved

Balaghat district in Madhya Pradesh saw a tragic turn during the annual Ganesh Visarjan ceremony as two unrelated mishaps resulted in the loss of two lives. The incidents occurred at different points of the immersion process, but both were linked to the large gathering of devotees. Local authorities reported that the first accident involved a crowd surge near the riverbank, while the second was a separate slip-and-fall incident in a nearby area. Both incidents were unrelated but happened within a short span of each other. Rescue personnel from the State Disaster Emergency Response Force (SDERF) were promptly deployed, and they succeeded in retrieving the bodies of the deceased. The team’s swift action helped to conclude the emergency response, and officials are now investigating the causes of both accidents to prevent future occurrences.
