Two drug smugglers arrested at Shri Ganganagar border, half‑kg heroin and opium seized

Security forces at the India‑Pakistan border in Shri Ganganagar arrested two suspected drug smugglers and recovered roughly 0.5 kg each of heroin and opium.
Security agencies conducting a joint operation on the India‑Pakistan frontier in Shri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, detained two individuals suspected of drug trafficking. The coordinated raid was carried out by state police and border security personnel following intelligence inputs about a possible narcotics shipment.
During the arrest, investigators seized approximately half a kilogram of heroin and an equal amount of opium from the suspects. The seized narcotics were recovered from the smugglers' possession at the border outpost.
Authorities suspect that the drugs were part of a larger consignment originating from Pakistan and have launched a probe into the broader smuggling network. The police have indicated that further arrests may follow as the investigation progresses.
