Two pilgrims from Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, died suddenly in Gopalganj, Bihar, after returning from a water immersion ceremony at Bhadyanath Dham and visiting Thave Durga Temple.
Two devotees from Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, lost their lives in the early hours of a Sunday in Gopalganj district, Bihar. The men were returning from a water immersion (jalabhishek) ceremony at Bhadyanath Dham when their condition deteriorated rapidly.
Prior to the immersion, the pilgrims had visited the Thave Durga Temple, where they performed puja and took darshan. Witnesses report that the two men felt unwell shortly after leaving the temple and were found unconscious on the roadside.
Local police have taken over the investigation, treating the deaths as suspicious. The authorities have sealed the area and are conducting a forensic examination to determine the cause of death.
