Authorities said that two siblings, 11‑year‑old Alia and her 7‑year‑old brother Mohammad Ayan, were found dead after they slipped into a pit filled with rainwater at a construction site in Jaisinghpura Khor, a locality of Jaipur. The pit was part of an unfinished residential building where water had accumulated following recent heavy rains.
Local rescue teams arrived at the scene after neighbors reported the children missing. Despite attempts to pump out the water and retrieve the bodies, the victims were pronounced dead at the site.
