Rajasthan police disclosed that Rahul ‘Bhanu’ Meena’s body was discovered in a bajra field and that two men offered Rs 15,000 each and a woman have been arrested after a 800‑km chase.
The Mandawar police station in Dausa district announced on August 15 that the lifeless body of 27‑year‑old Rahul Meena, also known as Bhanu, was recovered from a bajra (pearl millet) field. The discovery prompted a blind‑murder investigation that quickly turned into a high‑profile manhunt.
According to officials, the investigation traced two suspects who had each demanded a bounty of Rs 15,000 to locate the victim. The police pursued the fugitives across roughly 800 kilometres, culminating in their arrest along with a female accomplice in a separate location.
Senior Superintendent of Police Amit Singh said the arrests were the result of coordinated efforts between district and state crime units. While the motive behind the murder remains under inquiry, the police have sealed the crime scene and are conducting forensic analysis to piece together the sequence of events.
