Former President Donald Trump has openly appealed to Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman, asking the Democrat to consider joining the Republican Party. The request was made in a public statement that highlighted Trump’s continued influence over party dynamics ahead of upcoming elections.
Senator Fetterman, who won his Senate seat in 2022 on a progressive platform, has been a vocal critic of many Republican policies. His tenure has been marked by advocacy on issues such as health care reform and infrastructure development, positioning him as a prominent figure within the Democratic caucus.
Trump’s outreach underscores a broader strategy to attract high‑profile Democratic office‑holders to the GOP, aiming to reshape the party’s image and broaden its electoral base. No response from Senator Fetterman has been reported as of now.
