US President Donald Trump announced that Russia and Ukraine have reached an agreement to cease attacks on each other's energy infrastructure. The declaration was made during a press briefing, where Trump said the pact aims to reduce civilian hardship and stabilize regional energy markets.
Both parties are expected to refrain from striking oil, gas pipelines and related facilities for an indefinite period, although no formal treaty has been signed.
The ceasefire comes amid ongoing hostilities in the broader conflict, and analysts suggest it could ease global fuel price pressures.
The announcement was welcomed by international observers who view the move as a step toward de‑escalation, while urging both sides to honor the commitment.
