Truck plows into two motorcycles in Delhi’s Dwarka, one dead, three injured

A heavy truck struck two motorcycles travelling on a busy road in Dwarka, a southwestern suburb of Delhi, early on Wednesday. The collision occurred at a junction where traffic is typically dense, and eyewitnesses said the truck failed to brake in time before hitting the two bikes.

Emergency services arrived within minutes, extracting the riders from the wreckage. One of the motorcyclists was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other rider and two passengers sustained injuries ranging from fractures to bruises and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Delhi Police have opened a case under the motor vehicle accident provisions and are conducting a preliminary investigation to determine the cause, including possible driver fatigue or mechanical failure. Officials reminded commuters to observe speed limits and maintain safe distances, especially in high‑traffic zones like Dwarka.
