Tripura University announced the opening of an Indian Knowledge Systems Corner in its central library. The new section will house collections that focus on traditional Indian sciences, philosophy, literature and cultural studies, offering students and researchers access to indigenous knowledge sources. University officials said the initiative aligns with a broader effort to integrate native intellectual traditions into modern curricula. The corner is expected to serve as a hub for interdisciplinary projects and seminars on Indian epistemology. By foregrounding local scholarship, the university aims to enrich academic discourse and preserve cultural heritage.
The corner will feature curated shelves of rare manuscripts, contemporary publications, and digital archives related to Indian knowledge systems. Librarians have been trained to guide users in navigating these resources, and plans are underway to organize workshops and guest lectures that highlight the relevance of traditional wisdom in today's context.
