The State Election Commission in Tripura has set up 1,095 polling stations for the upcoming village committee elections and deployed 74 companies of central armed forces to ensure security.
The State Election Commission (SEC) announced that all necessary arrangements for the village committee polls have been completed, with 1,095 polling stations ready across the state. This preparation aims to facilitate smooth voting for the local self‑governance elections.
To maintain law and order during the polling process, the SEC has deployed 74 companies of central armed police forces. These units will be stationed at various sensitive locations to prevent any untoward incidents.
