Tripura's transport minister Sushanta Chowdhury announced that authorities will take firm measures against any indiscipline at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport in Agartala.
Tripura's minister of transport and civil aviation, Sushanta Chowdhury, warned that any form of indiscipline at Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) Airport will be met with strict punitive action. The statement was made following recent reports of passenger misconduct and operational disruptions at the airport, which serves as the main gateway to the state.
Chowdhury stressed that both airport staff and travelers must strictly follow existing regulations. He indicated that the government is prepared to impose fines, suspend privileges or pursue other legal measures against violators.
The minister appealed to the public to cooperate with security personnel to ensure smooth airport operations. He also assured that the transport department will work closely with the Airport Authority of India to monitor compliance and enforce the directives promptly.
