The Tripura High Court has directed the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) to provide a response regarding the acute shortage of teachers in tribal schools across the state.
Tripura High Court on Thursday directed the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) to submit a detailed response within 30 days regarding the persistent shortage of qualified teachers in tribal schools.
The order follows a petition filed by a group of parents and teachers who highlighted that many schools in the tribal districts lack even a single teacher for several subjects.
TTAADC, which administers education and development schemes in the state's tribal areas, has been under scrutiny for delays in recruiting and deploying teachers.
The court has emphasized that the council must provide a plan to address the issue and ensure that students in tribal regions receive adequate instructional support.
