Chief Minister of Tripura announced that the state is evaluating more than 158 investment proposals to boost its economy.
Chief Minister Manik Saha told reporters that the Tripura administration is currently working on over 158 investment proposals submitted by various private and public sector entities. The proposals span sectors such as manufacturing, tourism, agro‑processing and renewable energy, reflecting the state's push to diversify its economic base.
The government expects that the approved projects could generate thousands of jobs and significantly increase the state's revenue. Officials have highlighted that many of the proposals involve setting up new factories and expanding existing infrastructure, which would also improve connectivity and supply‑chain efficiency.
Tripura's investment promotion board has been tasked with fast‑tracking the evaluation process and facilitating clearances. The administration aims to finalize a shortlist of viable projects within the next few months and invite investors to commence implementation, signalling a proactive approach to attract capital and spur growth.
