Tripura's Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha addressed officials and stakeholders at the DISHA (Development Initiatives for Sustainable and Holistic Advancement) meeting, reiterating the government's commitment to open governance. He highlighted that transparency in project planning, budgeting, and execution is essential to build public trust and attract further investment.
Saha warned that delays in infrastructure, health, and education projects undermine the state's growth trajectory. He urged department heads to adhere to predefined timelines, adopt real‑time monitoring tools, and promptly address bottlenecks.
The CM also announced the formation of a dedicated oversight committee to audit ongoing schemes and publish progress reports quarterly. He invited civil society groups to participate in feedback mechanisms, ensuring that citizen concerns are incorporated into project management.
By stressing accountability, the administration aims to accelerate the completion of roads, schools, and healthcare facilities slated under the state's 2024‑2029 development plan. The DISHA meeting concluded with a consensus to implement stricter performance metrics across all ministries.
