Tripura CM downplays opposition rally ahead of civic body polls, says voters will choose performers

Tripura's Chief Minister addressed the media on the eve of the civic body polls, stating that the recent rally organized by the opposition alliance would have little impact on the electorate. He emphasized that voters are likely to base their choices on the track record of candidates rather than campaign spectacles.
The CM highlighted the government's recent development initiatives in urban areas, suggesting that tangible results would speak louder than political rallies. He urged citizens to evaluate performance and delivery when casting their votes.
Political analysts noted that the chief minister's remarks aim to shift the narrative from rally attendance to governance outcomes as the municipal elections approach.
The opposition alliance, meanwhile, continues its campaign across the state, focusing on local issues and promising alternative policies, but the chief minister remains confident that the electorate will prioritize proven performance.
