The Tripura chief minister launched an artificial‑intelligence based grievance portal aimed at eliminating citizen complaints in Agartala, branding the effort as a move toward a ‘zero‑complaint’ city.

Tripura's chief minister inaugurated an AI‑driven complaint management system in Agartala on Monday, presenting it as a cornerstone of the state's ambition to achieve a "zero‑complaint" urban environment. The platform allows residents to lodge grievances through a mobile app or web portal, where machine‑learning algorithms categorize, prioritize and route issues to the relevant municipal departments in real time.

Officials said the system will integrate with existing civic services, enabling faster response times and transparent tracking of each complaint's status. The AI component is designed to detect recurring problem patterns, helping authorities allocate resources more efficiently and pre‑empt potential service breakdowns.

The launch aligns with broader digital‑governance initiatives across northeastern India, aiming to enhance citizen engagement and reduce bureaucratic delays. While the pilot will initially cover key wards of Agartala, the government plans to expand the platform statewide within the next year, pending performance assessments.

Local civic groups welcomed the move, noting that a data‑rich, automated grievance redressal mechanism could significantly improve urban livability. The chief minister emphasized that the success of the project will depend on public participation and continuous system refinement.
