The Tripura unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party announced a month‑long service campaign to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday.
Tripura’s state BJP has unveiled plans for a month‑long “Seva Pakhwada” that will commence on September 17, the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The party says the initiative will mobilise volunteers across the state to undertake community service projects ranging from cleanliness drives to health camps.
The schedule, released by the state party office, outlines weekly themes such as sanitation, education support, senior citizen assistance and environmental conservation. Local party leaders have urged members and supporters to register on the party’s digital portal to coordinate activities and track progress.
Party spokesperson Amit Singh described the campaign as a “tribute to the Prime Minister’s vision of a clean and self‑reliant India” and urged citizens to participate irrespective of political affiliation. The BJP hopes the effort will reinforce its grassroots presence ahead of upcoming state elections.
