The government of Tripura will roll out a comprehensive measles‑rubella vaccination campaign across the state starting August 10, aiming to cover all eligible children.
The Tripura government announced today that it will launch a state‑wide measles‑rubella (MR) vaccination drive on August 10, targeting children aged 9 months to 15 years.
The campaign will be conducted in all 8 districts, with 200 vaccination centers set up in schools, community health posts and temporary booths.
Health officials say the initiative follows a recent rise in measles cases and aims to achieve 95% coverage, the target set by the National Immunisation Programme.
The Chief Minister and the Health Minister will inaugurate the drive on August 10, urging parents to bring their children for the free MR dose.
