Tripura’s airport director has formally addressed the chief executives of several airlines, requesting that they refrain from withdrawing scheduled flights that operate out of Agartala’s civil airport. The correspondence, sent earlier this week, highlights the administration’s concern that any reduction in air connectivity could disrupt travel and commerce in the state’s capital.

The director emphasized that Agartala serves as a vital gateway for both business travelers and tourists, linking the northeastern region with major Indian metros.
