A tractor-trolley carrying pilgrims returning from Ramdevra overturned after a near‑miss with an oncoming bus near Agolai, Jodhpur, leaving 16 people injured, several in serious condition.
Jodhpur district officials reported that a tractor-trolley loaded with pilgrims returning from the Ramdevra shrine overturned on a road near Agolai. The vehicle was attempting to avoid a bus approaching from the opposite direction when it lost control and tipped over.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and transported the injured to nearby hospitals. Sixteen people sustained injuries, with two to three victims described as being in serious condition while the rest suffered minor to moderate injuries.
State minister Shekhawat visited the hospitals to assess the situation and coordinate medical assistance for the victims. Police have opened an inquiry to determine the exact cause of the loss of control and to ensure road safety measures are reinforced on the route frequently used by pilgrims.
