Director TR Manjunath completed a 650‑km shoot along National Highway 66 for his latest film, capturing the scenic route in a single continuous take.

Director TR Manjunath wrapped up a monumental 650‑kilometre shoot along National Highway 66, a stretch that runs along the western coast of India. The film, which follows a continuous journey, was filmed in a single take, showcasing the varied landscapes from the southern tip of Kerala to the northern reaches of Karnataka. The crew faced logistical challenges, including coordinating with local authorities, managing road closures, and ensuring safety on a busy highway.

Manjunath, known for his realistic storytelling, chose NH‑66 to highlight the cultural diversity of the Konkan region. The shoot required a large support team, with vehicles, sound equipment, and a dedicated crew to handle the extensive travel. Despite the demanding schedule, the director praised the cooperation of the local communities and the seamless execution of the plan.

The completed footage is expected to be part of a feature that aims to bring the coastal experience to a wider audience. Film critics anticipate that the unique approach of a single‑take journey will set a new benchmark for location shooting in Indian cinema.
