The Tollywood production 'Toxic' has crossed the ₹300 crore mark globally, but industry analysts note it remains about ₹500 crore away from the ₹800 crore breakeven threshold.

Tollywood’s latest release, "Toxic," has reported a cumulative worldwide gross of roughly ₹300 crore, according to data compiled by TrackTollywood. The figure reflects earnings from domestic theatres, overseas markets and ancillary revenue streams since the film’s launch.

Industry calculations place the film’s breakeven point at about ₹800 crore, meaning the current collection leaves a shortfall of roughly ₹500 crore. The breakeven estimate includes production costs, marketing spend and distributor shares, which together set a high revenue target for the project.

Analysts note that while a ₹300‑crore worldwide haul is a respectable performance for many regional films, it falls well short of the financial expectations set for a high‑budget Tollywood venture. The gap underscores the challenge of recouping large investments in the current market environment, and may influence future budgeting decisions for similar productions.
