Tillari Right Bank Canal to Shut Oct 20 for Repairs

The Gujarat government has announced that the Tillari right bank canal will be shut from 20 October to carry out necessary repairs. The closure is expected to affect irrigation water supply to farms in the surrounding areas. The Gujarat Water Resources Department said the works will include lining and strengthening of the canal walls. Officials expect the repairs to be completed by the end of November, after which normal flow will resume.
