Three Youths Jump into Ganga to Save Friend; Boatmen Rescue Three, One Still Missing at Danapur

Four friends went for a ritual Ganga dip at Fakkar Mahato Ghat in Danapur, Bihar, as part of the Kush Daan Puja celebrations. While in the water, one of them began to struggle and appeared to be drowning. In an attempt to pull the distressed friend to safety, three of the youths also plunged into the river, resulting in all four men being at risk of submersion.

Local boatmen on the river responded quickly. Using their small vessel, they managed to pull three of the men out of the water and bring them to safety. Despite the rescue effort, one of the four remains unaccounted for and is presumed missing.

Authorities have been alerted and search operations are reportedly underway to locate the missing individual, while the rescued youths are receiving medical attention as a precaution.
