Railway police in Ratlam have detained three men from Firozabad district, Uttar Pradesh, who were caught attempting to impersonate candidates in the Group D recruitment exam.
The Railway Recruitment Board’s Group D exam, a key entry point for many aspiring railway employees, has been the focus of a recent sting operation in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh.
Three men, all residents of Firozabad district in Uttar Pradesh, were apprehended by Railway Police officers after they tried to run the exam on behalf of other candidates. The suspects were found in possession of exam materials and forged identification documents.
A spokesperson for the Railway Police said the operation was part of a broader crackdown on fraudulent practices in national recruitment drives. “We are committed to ensuring that the selection process remains fair and transparent,” the officer added.
The incident follows a similar arrest two days earlier in Bihar, where two youths were detained for attempting to cheat in a railway recruitment test. The authorities are reportedly reviewing security protocols for all upcoming exams.
