Three Workers Injured as Wall Collapses During Demolition in Ujjain's Urdupara

During the demolition of an aging structure in the Urdupara neighbourhood of Ujjain, a load‑bearing wall unexpectedly collapsed, trapping workers under the debris. At the time of the accident, six to seven labourers were on site, three of whom sustained injuries serious enough to require medical attention.

Witnesses say the collapse happened suddenly, giving the men little chance to escape. Local residents rushed to the scene, manually removing bricks and concrete to free the injured workers. Emergency services were called, and the three injured were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Authorities have not released details about the cause of the wall failure, but the incident underscores the risks faced by construction workers who often operate without adequate safety gear. The site remains cordoned off pending further investigation.
