On the evening of Sept 7, three unidentified men on a motorcycle robbed cash worth ₹1.5 crore near the Geeta Colony flyover on Delhi’s Outer Ring Road. Police have launched a manhunt for the suspects.
Delhi police reported a major cash robbery on the evening of September 7 along the Outer Ring Road. According to the statement, three unknown individuals on a motorcycle approached a cash‑laden bag, brandished weapons and fled with approximately ₹1.5 crore in cash. The incident occurred near the Geeta Colony flyover, a busy junction that witnesses heavy traffic during peak hours.
Witnesses said the assailants rode a single motorcycle, stopped briefly, displayed firearms, and seized the bag before speeding away. The stolen amount, estimated at 1.5 crore rupees, was reportedly being transported in a sealed bag when the robbery took place.
Delhi police have registered a case under robbery and armed assault, and a special team has been deployed to trace the motorcycle and identify the three suspects. CCTV footage from nearby cameras is being reviewed, and officers are canvassing the area for additional witnesses.
