Three regional OTT titles – the Malayalam‑Tamil drama ‘Dorothy’ by Sananth and Rishikanth and Sajin Gopu’s comedy ‘Dhoomakethu’ – are scheduled to stream this week, according to Pinkvilla.
Pinkvilla reports that three new regional films are slated for OTT release this week, expanding the Malayalam and Tamil digital catalogue. The lineup includes the drama "Dorothy," co‑written and directed by Sananth and Rishikanth, which explores contemporary themes through a regional lens. "Dorothy" is expected to debut on a major streaming platform, though the exact service has not been disclosed.
The second title, "Dhoomakethu," is a comedy helmed by filmmaker Sajin Gopu. Known for his work in Malayalam cinema, Gopu brings a light‑hearted narrative that promises to appeal to both Malayalam and Tamil audiences. Like its counterpart, the film will be available on an OTT platform later this week.
A third, unnamed regional release completes the trio, rounding out a busy week for South Indian digital content. The announcements reflect a growing trend of Malayalam and Tamil productions targeting streaming audiences directly, bypassing traditional theatrical windows.
