Three unidentified assailants opened fire at the residence of a High Court advocate in Gwalior, allegedly to pressure a settlement in a murder case; no one was injured.

Local police reported that three gunmen entered the house of a practising High Court advocate in Gwalior and discharged firearms. The incident took place in the city’s residential area and, according to eyewitnesses, none of the occupants sustained any injuries.

Investigators say the attack is linked to a pending murder‑case settlement. Sources allege that the advocate had refused to accept an out‑of‑court settlement, prompting the assailants to resort to intimidation through gunfire.

The Gwalior police have registered a FIR under sections relating to attempted murder and criminal intimidation. A team of investigators has been deployed to gather forensic evidence and identify the perpetrators.

Authorities have appealed to the public for any information that could help apprehend the suspects, emphasizing that such acts of violence undermine the rule of law.

The case remains under active investigation, and further updates will be provided as the probe progresses.
