A car collided with a road divider and flipped near Adalaj in Gandhinagar district, killing three people after a Garba celebration.
Gandhinagar district police reported that a private vehicle traveling from a Garba event lost control near the Adalaj area and struck a concrete divider. The impact caused the car to overturn, trapping the occupants inside.
Emergency services reached the scene quickly, but three passengers were pronounced dead at the site. Two other occupants were rescued with injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Preliminary investigations suggest that excessive speed and possible driver fatigue after the late‑night festivities may have contributed to the crash. Authorities have launched a formal inquiry and are checking the vehicle's condition and road lighting.
The incident has prompted local officials to remind citizens about safe driving practices during festival seasons, especially on rural stretches where dividers and uneven surfaces pose additional hazards.
Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward and are urging anyone with relevant information to contact the Gandhinagar police helpline.
