Three Bambiha Gang Members Repatriated from Malaysia, Held on Punjab Charges

Three operatives of the Bambiha gang were repatriated from Malaysia on Monday and are currently being held in Punjab under pending criminal cases. The return was facilitated through a joint effort between Indian and Malaysian authorities, who agreed to transfer the suspects to Indian jurisdiction for prosecution.

The gang, known for its involvement in drug trafficking and extortion, has been linked to several high‑profile crimes in Punjab. Police say the three men are charged with conspiracy, possession of illegal weapons and drug smuggling. They are expected to face trial in the coming weeks.
