Three arrested in Shahdol house burglary, Rs 20 lakh jewellery recovered

Kotwali police in Shahdol busted a burglary at a vacant house in Jain Colony, seizing gold and silver jewellery worth about Rs 20 lakh and arresting three suspects within 24 hours.
The Kotwali police of Shahdol announced that a break‑in at a vacant house in the Jain Colony was uncovered within a day of the incident. Investigators forced the lock, entered the premises and discovered that jewellery and other valuables amounting to roughly Rs 20 lakh had been stolen.
Three individuals suspected of carrying out the theft were apprehended by police within 24 hours of the report. During the arrests, officers recovered the stolen gold and silver ornaments from the suspects' possession, confirming the total value of the loot.
Authorities said the swift action was possible due to prompt registration of the complaint and coordinated efforts by local investigative teams. The case has been registered under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, and the accused will appear before the Shahdol court for further proceedings.
The police have appealed to the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity, especially in residential colonies where vacant properties may attract criminal elements.
