Police in Jalandhar have detained three suspects in the robbery of iron trader Lalit Mittal, in which over 50 lakh rupees were stolen.
The police of Jalandhar have arrested three individuals in connection with a robbery that targeted 60-year-old iron merchant Lalit Mittal. The theft, reported to have involved more than 50 lakh rupees, took place near the 120‑foot road in the Surya Enclave Extension area.
According to the investigation, a young woman employed at a nearby shop colluded with an older driver to plan the heist. Their scheme enabled the perpetrators to breach the merchant's premises and make away with the cash.
Law enforcement officials said the arrests were the result of swift investigative work and that the suspects are currently in custody pending further inquiry.
