Police in Seedi’s Bahri police‑station area detained three individuals accused of facilitating conversions under the guise of a prayer gathering, seizing prayer books and related material.
Police in the Bahri police‑station jurisdiction of Seedi, Madhya Pradesh, arrested three men on suspicion of arranging religious conversions during a prayer meeting. The operation was carried out after a complaint alleged that the gathering was used as a cover for proselytising activities.
During the raid, officers recovered several prayer books, pamphlets and other items that were reportedly being distributed to participants. The seized material is being examined as part of the investigation into alleged forced conversion.
The three accused have been remanded to judicial custody and will appear before the local court for further proceedings. Authorities said they will continue to monitor similar gatherings to enforce the state's anti‑forced conversion laws.
