Three Andhra Pradesh residents missing, four stranded as Nepal floods intensify

Heavy rains have caused severe flooding in Nepal, leaving three people from Andhra Pradesh missing and four others stranded.
Heavy monsoon rains have triggered widespread flooding across several districts of Nepal, submerging roads, homes and agricultural fields. The deluge has forced authorities to launch large‑scale rescue operations as water levels continue to rise.
Among those affected are five individuals from Andhra Pradesh who were traveling in the region. Three of them have been reported missing, while four others are currently stranded in flood‑hit areas awaiting evacuation.
The Nepalese disaster management agency has coordinated with the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu to locate the missing nationals and to arrange transport for the stranded group. Rescue teams are using boats and helicopters to reach isolated villages.
Families of the missing persons have been informed and are in contact with Indian consular officials. Officials say the situation remains fluid and that efforts are ongoing to bring all affected individuals to safety.
